Lacking protection
This moisturizer may be popular, but it lacks decent UVA protection. The SPF15 label is deceptive, this does not offer the broad spectrum protection that we need during the day. Make sure that your moisturizer/sunscreen contains either titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, or avobenzone - then you'll be covered.

great stuff
The Kiehl's Ultra Facial Moisturizer is great. The non-SPF is great and now that Kiehl's offers this product in SPF15 form, it's even better! I'm very fair and the SPF15 keeps me from burning at the first sign of the summer sun!

Feels greasy, smells worse
I had heard so many people going on and on about how great this moisturizer was, so I thought I would try it out.
Firstly, the smell - it smells like toy slime, you know the stuff in the plastic tub that kids love trowing against walls. Well this stuff smells just like that. I have actually noticed a couple Kiehl's products smelling that way but that's another story.
This moisturizer felt greasy and seemed to slide off my face. Once it was finally absorbed my face still looked greasy- I have normal skin that is prone to oiliness if I use the wrong products, so this did not work for me. It did not make me break out so that is a plus, but I did not use it for very long, I just couldn't stand the way it felt and smelled.
I have also since read that the SPF15 in this lotion is not sufficient to block UVA. So it will not protect you properly, if that is what you are after.
Approach this moisturizer with extreme caution.
