This cosmetics mothership has one of the finest assortment of cosmetic products on the market today. The online store is a dream to navigate and loaded with handy tips and information. Equally, the Sephora stores are hives of activity, pumping tunes and fragrant scents bombard the senses.

Sephora introduced their own extensive collection, which became wildly popular for their wide color ranges and quality skin, hair and body care choices. Sephora is the Queen, all hail the Queen!

Once upon a time, way back when, there was a woman named Zipporah, who happened to be the wife of Moses, and was renowned for her exceptional beauty. Fast forward to ancient Greece, where the locals called pretty things Sephos, their term for beauty. Fast forward even further, where the two words were merged to form a name that would become synonymous with 'Beauty Authority'-Sephora.

While it may seem like Sephora's been around forever, we're actually fairly new-to the US at least. Sephora was founded in France in 1993 and acquired by Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton ( a.k.a. LVMH) in 1997. We opened our first US store in 1998 in the stylish Soho section of New York City. Now the leading beauty retailer in France and the United States, there are over 400 Sephora stores worldwide in Canada, the Czech Republic, France, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Monaco, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, the UK, and the US.

And of course, there's Sephora's largest store: Sephora.com. Born during the Internet explosion of 1999, Sephora.com brings our unrivaled product selection to the comfort of your own home. It's also the major beauty information hub, offering everything from beauty advice and in-depth product reviews to the latest beauty news, expert tips and seasonal trends.
