June 30, 2020 – L&P Aesthetics is looking to add an experienced, highly motivated and energetic clinical assistant to our support staff and clientele. This is a full-time position with benefits and a competitive salary.

Three to five years experience as a medical or clinical assistant. preferably with a plastic surgery or dermatology practice
Three to five years experience in phlebotomy
Must be professional and courteous at all times
Excellent customer service skills, friendly and energetic
Must be efficient and able to work in a fast-paced environment
California Certified Medical Assistant certificate desired
Must be available for some weekend shifts
Must have some experience with suture removal and / or assisting physicians with minor procedures
Enhance office reputation by greeting and accommodating to patients and visitors
Manage and control scheduling calendars to optimize flow for providers
Manage patient records and adhere to patient concerns
Provide office support by inputting data, proofreading documents, and maintaining files
Ensure availability of treatment / procedure information, supplies and equipment
Maintain cleanliness of treatment rooms, medical instruments and/or equipment
Keeps confidentiality of information as per company policy
Perform additional duties as assigned
May perform CoolSculpting consults and set-up the equipment for body contouring procedures.
Straighten and clean exam rooms after patient visits.
Perform nursing procedures such as suture removal, dressing changes, allergen patch testing without direct physician supervision.
Completely and correctly fill out all required pathology and laboratory requisition documents for patients as required by physician. Provide clinical staff with all completed documents for data entry records.
Skills & Qualifications Required:
Fully Proficient in Sterile Technique
Familiar with EMR and taking notes
Assist doctor during minor procedures
Knowledge of post-operative care, medical knowledge of monitoring for infections, bleeding and post-operative complications
Ability to answer phones, schedule appointments and triage patients
Quick learner and able to work and adapt to fast paced environment
Excellent communication skills
Training in phlebotomy
Good understanding of skin anatomy
Experience with suture removal and / or assistance with minor surgical procedures.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work as a team member.
Well-organized with attention to detail.
Empathetic with patient needs and concerns.
Ability to work well with physicians, anticipating their needs in regard to patient treatment.
Has successfully completed basic CPR courses and updates on a yearly basis.
Stable, mature, and dependable.
