Dr. Sachin S. Parikh is a double board-certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He is one of a select group of surgeons trained extensively in both facial plastic surgery and hair transplant surgery. His practice is focused exclusively on cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, including minimally invasive and open surgical techniques of the face, neck, eyelids, nose, and ears. He is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and one of only 43 surgeons per year to perform an advanced fellowship in facial plastic surgery and hair restoration. He is proud to provide hair restoration services to the San Francisco Bay Area at offices in Palo Alto and San Jose.

Dr. Parikh completed residency training in head and neck surgery at Stanford University Hospitals and Clinics. While at Stanford, he was awarded two prestigious scientific research grants and developed a state-of-the-art surgical simulator. Dr. Parikh was then chosen for a fellowship in aesthetic facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the New York Center for Facial Plastic and Laser Surgery and Hair Transplantation. There, he advanced his knowledge of the latest innovations in hair restoration surgery from Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT), also known as the “strip” technique, to gaining expert guidance on the advent of Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE).

During your consultation, Dr. Parikh will provide a comprehensive overview of the field of hair restoration and the most up-to-date options for both men and women as they seek appropriate solutions for hair loss. Dr. Parikh has traveled around the country to visit with the hair restoration innovators and internationally renowned hair transplant surgeons to bring the very best in techniques and technology to his patients.

Prior to training as a surgeon, Dr. Parikh earned a bachelor of science degree from Emory University. Dr. Parikh has had a lifelong focus on education and research. He has published extensively in medical literature, including the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, Facial Plastic Surgery Clinics of North America, and Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery, on numerous topics, including minimally invasive facelifts, evidence-based facelift techniques, eyelid rejuvenation, nasal reconstruction, rhinoplasty, and cleft lip reconstruction. His research has been presented at national meetings, and he has taught courses in facial aesthetic and reconstructive surgery to young surgeons.

Why Two Surgeons Are Better Than One

Dr. Parikh is proficient in medical Spanish and is happy to consult with Spanish-speaking patients.
