Recovery and Beyond
MOXI requires very little downtime. After your treatment, your skin will appear pink and feel warm to the touch. It may feel like you have a sunburn for the rest of the day. Over the next few days, the treated skin cells will slough off and you will experience some temporary roughness. But in about five days, you’ll be left with fresher, healthier, firmer skin.

The MOXI laser facial is designed to polish your skin’s tone and texture, but it also does the following:

The short answer is – everyone.
MOXI is ideal for both younger patients who are just starting to think about long-term skin care and pre-rejuvenation but it is also the ideal treatment for people wanting to revitalize and refresh their skin’s appearance without any downtime.
The MOXI laser facial is safe for people with all skin types but as with all lasers, but if you have a darker skin type, your provider will be a bit more cautious with the strength of the treatment.
MOXI is the ideal treatment to pair with Broad Band Light, or BBL Forever Young. While MOXI improves the texture and firmness of the skin, BBL evens-out unwanted reds and browns for a truly synergistic skin resurfacing treatment.
The MOXI Laser Facial is also the perfect treatment to get in addition to your annual HALO Hybrid Laser treatment because it enhances and extends the results of the more aggressive treatment.
A MOXI Laser Facial is often referred to as the ‘lunchtime facial’ because it is so quick and easy, usually only taking around 30-minutes. Most people do not require any topical numbing, but for those who are concerned about pain, numbing cream is an option. If you have anxiety before, you can also request to add Pro-Nox (laughing gas) to your treatment which will make you more comfortable.
During the procedure, your provider at L&P Aesthetics will gently move the MOXI tip across your face and you will hear a soft snapping noise. Most people describe the sensation as ‘tingling heat’ but this goes away fairly quickly.
You’ll want to use a gentle cleanser after your MOXI laser facial. At L&P Aesthetics, we recommend the ZO Gentle Cleanser or the Jan Marini C-Esta Gel Cleanser.
You’ll also want to keep your skin hydrated with consistent moisturizing which will promote healing and the peeling process. The moisturizing products we recommend are the Alastin Ultra Nourishing Moisturizer or the Obagi Hydrate Luxe.
And of course, you’ll need to apply mineral sunscreen to the treated area for at least two months after your treatment. These are the best sunscreens for protecting your new, fresh MOXI-lasered skin.
