A Partnership For The Face
A few months ago, the New York Times Magazine featured a story about collaboration and teams in the workplace that we found interesting because it acknowledged some theories we’ve known to be true for a long time.
The article, What Google Learned From Its Quest To Build the Perfect Team, revealed that teams or groups of individuals work more effectively together than just one really smart employee working on his or her own. The study also found that the most outstanding teams have members with shared experiences and mutual respect. Here’s an excerpt:
“In Silicon Valley, software engineers are encouraged to work together, in part because studies show that groups tend to innovate faster, see mistakes more quickly and find better solutions to problems. Studies also show that people working in teams tend to achieve better results and report higher job satisfaction.”
In aesthetic surgery, it is extremely uncommon for surgeons to ever work together, much less operate together, but Dr. Lieberman and Dr. Parikh formed a medical partnership and built their practice around it. It is the fundamental reason why For The Face patients receive superior results.
When a patient comes to For The Face – Lieberman and Parikh Facial Plastic Surgery for a facelift or rhinoplasty, they not only receive expert care from one board-certified, aesthetically skilled surgeon, but two. Drs. Lieberman and Parikh constantly challenge each other to do their very best work and hold each other accountable for every stitch. They constantly evaluate and discuss, bounce different strategies off each other, and work together to find the solution that is perfect for a particular patient’s surgery.
In this video, Drs. Lieberman and Parikh explain in their own words why their partnership is so effective.
Even during the consultation, our patients benefit from having two doctors in the room. Patients appreciate hearing the doctors discuss their case and feel more educated about the procedure and empowered to be part of the decision-making.
One patient recently summed up it up pretty well, “I get the expertise and focus of two amazing surgeons. What could be better than that!?”
